Merry and Bright

All I want for Christmas!

Hey guys! Happy Thanksgiving weekend! I know I'm a little bit late, but I hope everyone had a wonderful, happy and filling Thanksgiving! There are so many great things happening at DBE, and I can't wait for you to all see. First, Christmas is in full swing here at the Boutique. We have all of our merchandise out, our tree is up, and the carols are on! In the photos above, you will see some great ideas for stocking stuffers and gifts. Please stop in soon to check everything out! More exciting news, online shopping will be running this week.. just in time to order lots of goodies for Christmas. Also, Santa is coming back to the Boutique on December 18... we will be having LOTS of discounts and treats - so check back for details! AND of course, don't forget about DBE's design studio. We are busy as Christmas Elves preparing for upcoming Weddings and Parties - but can always help you with yours!

Congratulations to Michelle and Andrew!!!!

This adorable couple has stopped into DBE together a few times since the opening. Just last week, Andrew came into shop... and was on a mission. He purchased this beautiful sparkling cake topper box to hold an engagement ring for Michelle! He then popped the question a few days ago and of course she said yes! It was such a pleasure being involved, even just a bit, with the proposal. Congratulations again to Michelle and Andrew!

Oh the Places You Go!

Finally... a new post and a new window display!!!
It's always so much fun to come up with window design ideas and see them come to life! I have to admit, although I love every aspect of DBE, the window displays are my favorite. For only two weeks, our travel inspired window will be up. We are gearing up for Christmas and the debut of that window... will come on November 13th (but more on that later!)

Design Studio

It's been busy busy around DBE lately! We (thank goodness for all of my helpers :-)) have been designing and crafting TONS of custom details, planning parties and keeping the boutique nice and stocked! Not to mention, getting ready for all of the holidays!!!!! It's been so much fun creating every piece, and we are excited to work on everything else on the list! Keep checking back for details and updates.

Linnea's Lights

Linnea's Light is now available at DBE! We have six scents in total: Pumpkin, Magnolia, Fig Leaf, French Pear, Pomegranate, and Macintosh Apple! Each candle burns for 60+ hours and comes with it's own pack of matches!!! Love these... and there may be some special holiday candles coming soon as well :-)

Today's post is in honor of all the fabulous brides that I have had a chance to work with! These items, available in the boutique, are the perfect Wedding Day accessories. Skull Candy

It's that time of year again... pumpkins, apple pie, candy corn and of course, Halloween!!! Even though it's not for a few weeks, Halloween is in the air! Here at DBE, we changed over our window to celebrate the season, and have displayed our seasonal merchandise. Also, if you are looking for a perfect costume accessory, DBE can help. Let me create a one of a kind headband or mask, to top off this year's costume. AND, best part is, you can wear it to our Halloween Cupcakes and Cocktails Costume Soiree! Stop by to take a peek :-)

All in the Family

DBE would be nothing without all the help, guidance and encouragement from my family. In every way, shape and form, they have all been a part of the process and have given me the support to live my dream. In the pictures above, you will see my Mom, Granny, Dad.. and Boyfriend Steven. They, along with my other family and friends strewn across the country, are my everything! This post is a thank you to them, and everyone! Thank you for always believing and walking every step of the way, right with me!

Alice in Declaration

It's probably no surprise to find that Alice in Wonderland is a huge inspiration for me, and the store. The whimsical characters and colors featured in the book and countless movies, have always given me a bolt of creative energy! When designing the look and feel of the store, I was always reminded of the world Alice enters. Even though you don't fall through a rabbit hole, I hope that entering the world of DBE, gives you a similar feel to that of a fun, spirited place, full of surprises!
The pictures featured in today's post are a sample of those items in the shop that scream wonderland. The blue tutu, designed by Ouma, represents Alice in the most wonderful ways! The sparkling white rabbit cake topper and gift box, created by Over the Top Studios, is the perfect small sample of the story and is simply too adorable! These Tea cups are also too sweet...especially when filled with swizzle sticks and various teas! Designed by Teaspoons and Petals and adorned with hand painted haikus, teacups are another great Alice inspired item!

DBE is so excited for Halloween this year! Friday October 1st is the Boutique's Halloween kickoff... with a brand new window display, fabulous merchandise and hand made masks and headbands. Here is a little glimpse of the pieces to come this October. Also, Saturday October 30th is our Cupcakes and Cocktails Costume Soiree. It's sure to be a blast... so start thinking about your costume now! Enjoy your weekend and perhaps get into the fall season this weekend with a pumpkin spice latte...because that's my favorite!

To celebrate St. Augustine's 445th Birthday, DBE was asked to create an invitation for the cover of this Friday's Compass. Nestled inside the St. Augustine Record, the Compass highlights local events, entertainment and city features. It was a true pleasure to design this invitation and I look forward to working with the fabulous Compass again soon! Happy Labor Day..and Happy Birthday to the wonderful city of St. Augustine!
